This summer First Baptist Church of Preston will be going to Camp Chetek for the 2024 year. Camp Chetek is a beautiful lake side camp in Chetek Wisconsin nestled among the towering pines stretched across 125 acres. Established in 1944 Camp Chetek has a long tradition for being a spiritual training ground four youth and First Baptist has been proud to partner with them for summer camp over many years. Thought our relationship with Camp Chetek, this beautiful place in God's creation has been a special place where the light of the Gospel has reached thousands of young people. With newly renovated cabins (including AC!) and a new Chapel Gym complex its the highlight of the summer for our young people. Camp Chetek provides a unique, high-quality camping experience for each camper.
Your camper will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of Lakeside and shore side activities. Everything from horseback riding, high ropes, tubing, waterskiing and even sailing are available each afternoon for our campers. A full list of camp activities is outlined below. But it’s not just about the fun it’s also about the heart. Camp Chetek’s mission is to invest in the hearts of youth with the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ though discipleship. Campers will attend chapel each day and work on bible studies with their counselor through out the week. This in-depth bible study and application seeks to dray each campers heart closer to Chirst. Camp Information & Cost
This year Camp is available for all youths that will be entering 3rd grade through 12th grade. Junior Camp week is for those campers that are entering 3rd through 7th grade while Teen Camp is for Campers entering 7th through 12th grade (7th graders have the choice of Teen or Junior weeks at camp). Our Church will only be attending Junior Camp 1 from June 17th-22nd and Teen Week 1 from June 24th-29th.
The full cost for Camp is $325 per camper. However thanks to the generous members of the First Baptist Church of Preston and God's provision for the church we will cover and additional $125 for each camper! This means that for only $200 you receive 5 nights and 6 days of transportation, lodging, food, activities, and spiritual encouragement. That is less than the cost of most overnight hotel stays. First Baptist Church does not want anyone to be excluded from the blessings of Camp so the $125 discount is available to all campers regardless of their membership at the church. In addition if a camper has need of further financial assistance or payment plans please call the church office at 507-765-4960. We are so passionate about our youth that we don’t want cost be the reason you miss out on a fantastic week of fun with friends and challenges from God’s word.

You can also contact the church office or talk to someone from church to get a registration form. Please note that All campers must register through the church office to receive the First Baptist discount. If you register online through the camp we will be unable to discount your registration. Please make any checks out to First Baptist Church of Preston. Please send in all camp registration forms to the church office as soon as possible as the camp may sell out.
